Though the number of Beaucerons is not great in the United States, the breed is gaining popularity due to active promotion by the National breed club. The North American Beauceron Club is affiliated with Les Amis du Beauceron, the main breed club in France. The NABC was formed in 1984 and is instrumental in promoting the breed in the United States.

The main objective of the NABC is preserving breed's working qualities and helping breeders and owners in the field of training and caring for Beaucerons. Thus, the NABC holds special seminars and publishes newsletters to keep breed owners informed on the issues of raising sound Beaucerons.
One of the main concerns of breed owners now is receiving official breed recognition. Thus, the Beauceron Club of Canada is very active in encouraging the Canadian Kennel Club to recognize the breed. The AKC does not recognize the Beauceron either. Nevertheless, it is one of the main breed registries. It may be that popularization of the breed and growing Beauceron numbers will induce the AKC to accept the breed in the near future.
Beaucerons - In Europe
Breed numbers seem to be sufficient in Europe. Most European countries have National Beauceron clubs that promote the breed and try to preserve its working qualities. Various trials help to determine the best dogs and encourage breeders to improve their Beaucerons. Beaucerons - Clubs Links
